Because the World Cup is coming to the USA in 2026, all youth soccer organizations are being encouraged and supported by the Philadelphia Union and Eastern PA Youth Soccer Association. This is our Club’s chance to really get the support we need to grow. Here are some ideas we have:

  • Building travel teams for U08, U09, U10, U11 boys
  • Growing the Futsal League to three gyms in Germantown
  • Increase registrations for intramural soccer (Saturday morning program)
  • Add afterschool programs to more elementary schools (Kelly, Wister, Linglebach schools)

Administrative infrastructure:  in order to build the Club’s impact we need to strengthen our organization by:

  • Strengthening our board of directors (two new board members as of 12/2019, seeking two more)
  • Fundraising (grants, sponsorships) program, working with local foundations
  • Received a donation of nets from EPYSA in 2018, will reapply in 2020
  • Received an Activities Fund grant for $900 in 2018, and 2019
  • Expect to receive continued ongoing funding ($21,000 annually) from the Drumcliff Foundation
  • Expect to receive $4000 grant from the JT Dorsey Foundation (for Emlen School program)
  • Generally attempting to ramp up communication with families
  • Improve management policies and procedures

Germantown Soccer Club partners with a number of organizations in order to carry out its mission.
